What's your artist statement?
My work often allows the viewer to interpret the piece. There is; however, an ultimate goal with what I do. I make art to show my appreciation towards the female body. I enjoy using different media to portray that appreciation usually showing a sense of freedom. The idea of censorship influences my art. The female body has always been censored and I don't do that in my pieces. That is why many of my pieces aren't submitted to school competitions or shown in the hallways. I've grown to be okay with that because that is simply the way society works.
What does "art" mean to you?
Art to me is any form of expression.
Has Teen Lab helped you grow as an artist?
TL has definitely helped me grow as an artist. It has given me the opportunity to try new things and mess up and do it all over again. There are no limits in TL when it comes to your artwork. I know I won't be judged when I'm doing what I love.
