HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR ARTISTIC STYLE?

Colorful, reflective of things going on around me and how I can interpret them. Things that I want to bring to light, like conflicts in society and concepts like that.

HOW HAS OUR SEMESTER THEME IMPACTED YOUR ARTISTIC PRACTICE?

I feel that Public Art is very powerful and has a strong voice. It's separate from traditional art and I feel that is very important. Especially with everything going on this year, it's very crazy, and I feel public art is a way of protesting.

WHAT THEMES OR SYMBOLS REAPPEAR IN YOUR BODY OF WORK?

Home. I feel my art revolves around the idea of going back to my home country, and the economical and social problems that are going on there motivates my art.

WHAT DOES TEEN LAB MEAN TO YOU?

It has always been a place for me to come and express myself with people that I'm comfortable with, doing things that I'm comfortable with. I feel like I am meditating as I am here, it's peaceful for me.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER TEEN LAB?

It's really too early to tell, but I've had this one career in mind-- photo journalism, especially warfare photojournalism. I feel like I am an advocate and a person interested in social problems so going into that area seems perfect for me. But I am still not very sure what I want to do yet.
